We thoroughly enjoyed sharing our home with visitors . It also appears that the visitors have enjoyed sampling the delights of Islay from Ard Na Mara. Here are some of the many positive comments we have received from our visitors.
Just back from a three night stay at Ard Na Mara, Islay. What a place, the location in Port Ellen is stunning and the house is breath taking. So spacious, modern and extremely comfortable. There were 4 of us and you could have had a section of the house each and still had loads of room to move around in. The big selling point is the Balcony. Sitting there in all weathers as your sheltered with a Dram or a cuppa (if it’s the morning and look out at the sea. It really is in an ideal location. Really didn’t want to come home. The house is filled with leaflets and contact info on what to to in Islay, very useful as we were able to plan out visits to most of the Distilleries and for eating places etc. Cannot recommend Ard na Mara enough for people to stay.

Fantastic house with open plan living at its best. Views to die for, especially as we have had three seasons in the one day today. House is well appointed, clean, tidy and located centrally for everything I’m looking for. Thanks for a wonderful couple of days.

Our week in this lovely home is sadly just coming to an end. The house is beautiful and well equipped and just loved sitting in the upstairs lounge or balcony admiring the view. We were fortunate to have clear nights and a full moon giving fabulous views of the moon reflecting on the bay.

We stayed here last month. Beautiful cosy house with amazing views and amazing sunrises. The house is well equipped with everything you need and very homely. We settled in straight away. Just a short walk to the beach and close to Port Ellen.
We had problems with the boat coming home due to the weather and the owners were very kind and amenable. Would highly recommend this place. We will be back!
